About Founder Compass
Founder Compass publishes practical, sourced guides for founders who are looking for a cofounder or deciding where to look. The guides cover where to look, how the main platforms and programs work, what they cost, and what founders say about them.
Each guide is built from real founder discussions on Reddit and Hacker News, the platforms' own pages and published data, with every source linked.
How the guides are researched
- Every statistic and claim links to its source, and each guide ends with a list of the sources it used.
- Prices, limits and terms come from each platform's or program's own pages and were checked on the date shown in the guide's byline ("Updated …"). They can change after that date, so check the platform's own page before you pay.
- Numbers that platforms report about themselves, such as member counts, are labelled as self-reported.
- Founder experiences are taken from public discussions on Reddit and Hacker News, linked where they're cited.
